Not everyone drinks alcohol to need these and others don’t take favors even when they are edible. Skip them and no one will notice.

I would just skip it, especially since people are travelling and won't want to carry more than they arrived with.

I agree with PP, I would just skip the favors altogether. It’s an unnecessary thing for you to worry about with a destination wedding.

Valid points from all of you, thank you. We will opt out of those gifts and put that money aside for other things that I'm sure will come up.

We used luggage tags with our wedding invitations. It was such a cute little gift to make them excited for the trip. We printed off a QR code that led them to our wedding website inside the luggage tag to make it more interactive! The best additional to an invitation!

For a destination wedding, your guests are paying more in travel costs to celebrate with you. Therefore, I think hosts should be even more gracious. I suggest coordinating an outing, activity, or tour during the wedding weekend. If not favors, welcome gift bags in their hotel rooms with sunscreen, water, snacks, and a note from you would be luxury. Advil and powder hydration packs can be found in bulk on Amazon or at local pharmacies.

The reception is the thanks to your guests. To me, the most meaningful way to show appreciation is to plan a wedding that is convenient and affordable for people to attend. I don't think anything that people will have to pack in their luggage Is practical or necessary. I'd put the kind of items you mention in a welcome bag. I would skip the sunglasses as people will bring their own and that's the kind of thing that's more of a personal choice.

Yes, we are booking a private boat party the second day we arrive to attend as a group outing so everyone can properly meet before the big day and we can thank those who are coming. We will do welcome baggies of small things like the travel advil and electrolyte and have asked the resort to put a water bottle aside for each guest too as sometimes those are hard to come by.
