wedding favors

Shelia, on June 17, 2020 at 9:42 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 15

I’m struggling with if I want to give out favors to my guests or not. I know I definitely don’t keep them when I attend weddings. To me it’s a waste of money. Anyone else not giving out wedding favors?

You can forego as it is not something that will be missed but you cannot go wrong with edible gifts like personalized hershey's kisses.

Our favors are 2 part...1 part edible and 1 part cute trinket. We're planning on having custom M&Ms and we have guitar picks that were printed with our wedding info. There are several musicians in our guest list and also a lot of readers. My 10 year old pointed out she can also use it as a bookmark lol

So I guess we kinda did, but we didn't mean to. Instead of having normal place cards and a corresponding table, we actually had a stone with the person's name at their place setting (so they knew where to sit, I guess that goes without saying) and it really set the table setting off. People ended up taking their personalized stones with them.

Otherwise I'd say no favors or edible favors.

    We didn't!

We also figured it was a waste of money, and most favors are thrown out/ignored.

No one noticed or said a thing.

It's totally up to you! Wedding favors are completely optional and your choice. If you do want to do them, I would suggest something edible. As a guest, edible wedding favors are always the most appreciated and certainly never get thrown out!

Not necessary. Only if you really want to, and get edibles.

We're not giving out favors, per say. We will be having a dessert table and we'll have bags/boxes for our guests with a variety to take home.

We're giving out our favorite snacks as favors at the end of the night, popcorn and freeze pops! It'll be 12am and out guest will be eating that popcorn on the drive home lol after all that drinking! So very easy and inexpensive late night snack for your drive home!

I personally think favors are a waste. I rarely take favors home with me when I attend weddings. And I notice most guests leave theirs behind as well. At our wedding, we had a photo booth and used our personalized strips as our favors. Our guests enjoyed that. If you do decide to do favors, I would do something edible. They are less likely to be left behind.

I'm not. They often get left behind anyways.
What we are going to do is donate $1 or $2 per person to our local animal shelter instead!
