Wedding favors

My fiance's cousin had custom cookies made in the shape of an A (last name's initial) and had them at every place setting. Every other favor I've seen at weddings, the couple had tons left over.

I am doing small bags of his and her favorite candy as our favors that I will set at each place setting. Im hoping that since its food/candy that people wont leave it behind. The nice thing is that if they do leave it behind we have Halloween about a month later so I can just add it to the trick or treat candy lol.

If you must have them, stick to edibles. If people can’t eat them at the wedding, they rarely take anything home. We have been to weddings where edible favors in plain sight were not even touched and couldn’t be given away.


For winter, do a hot chocolate or spiced cider mix. Otherwise, save the money to put towards dinner/bar/dj that guests will notice and remember.

We're planning on mints, I found a seller on Etsy and its $1 per roll of mints with free shipping and they can customize color and text. Even if people don't take them, they are not a bad price and to carry in my purse or keep in my car.

I am debating Lottery tickets... It seems like no one uses or keeps the wedding favors and candy seems so blah to me... the chance to win $5000 sounds like something I would like LOL. Is it tacky?

You can checkout amazon, Esty, Oriental trading, evforvort. They can give you many different ideas to make it special for your day. Either its cake boxes goodie bags wine toppers etc.

Edibles only, like others have said (favors aren’t necessary but feel free to do them if you want to). Here are a few ideas:

Like people said, anything they can eat is pretty on par! and they can be really inexpensive just buying candy and giving out for instance

We might do a photo booth where guests get a strip of photos. Kind of does double-duty as a favor and entertainment.

Me and my fiancé are getting these little boxes and putting our favorite chocolates in it from our local candy place! They will be placed on everyone’s plate wrapped with the cute tag I made. The good thing is if no one eats them we will ! We love these homemade chocolates 😋

We were going to have maybe like 4-5 chocolates per box
