Wedding favors

Haley, on December 28, 2019 at 5:32 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 26

I need some good ideas of what to do for our wedding favors.

Im trying not to spend to much money, but I do want to do something nice.

I was thinking personalized bottle openers or wine corks?

Everyone could use a bottle opener! People also like edible favors and some can be pretty cheap as well.

What would you suggest for edible favors?

Popcorn, candy, cookies, mints, pretzels...there are so many options!

Edible or bust. Sorry but thats the honest truth. I end up tossing pretty much anything else. Sounds harsh but if you search this forum for previous posts on the same topic you'll find many people feel the same. If trying to save $ consider doing no favours instead. Otherwise, consider wine, dips, spreads, honey, jams, etc. Ive thrown out wine openers, and basically anything with the couples name or wedding date on it.

Oh dang I never thought of it like that. I mean I have kept things from weddings but I realized I don't really use them. so I think edible might be the right way to go

It’s totally ok to skip (and save money), unless favors are a “thing” in your area. Edibles for sure: cookie, wrapped cake pop, fortune cookie, chocolate truffle in a box, etc.

Agreed with PPs--you really don't need to spend the money on favors, but if you'd like to, edible is the best way to go!

Would pretzels be a good idea? I saw a thing on Pinterest with a bride and groom pretzel decorated. Is that too cheesy?

We are doing candy apples! They are going to come out to about 1.20$ each.

I got 100 personalized koozies in two different colors for like $135 on etsy. i know tons of people drink beer and they could use it right at our reception. so for us that was a good choice. i've also seen people do a donation to a charity of their choice in lieu of favors. and you just put a cute note on the tables stating that.
