Wedding favors

Has anyone done coffee for wedding favors? I’m thinking about doing so and putting it burlap bags. Will ground coffee be ok in burlap bags?

No, it should be in an air tight container. It will lose its flavor! You can order single serve sealed bags on etsy and other favor sites.

I don’t drink coffee but I googled it and it seems only coffee beans can be stored in burlap.

A friend of mines wedding favor was a small burlap bag of coffee beans. They had a "Love is Brewing" tag on it!

Based on what was said before I would suggest to do some research on this. Sounds like a really cute idea and guest would love it! I’m not a coffee drinker either but I would find it cute. I love coffee smell lol

I am a coffee freak and I would love that as a favor. Coffee beans most definitely can be stored in burlap bags. I would be sure that they are refrigerated in a storage bag beforehand. Cute idea!

For freshness, as long as they are coffee beans and not ground beans, it would be fine. I think it's a lovely idea, and as a guest, I would love coffee beans as a favor!

Mmmm sounds like an awesome idea! I agree with everyone else that it should be coffee beans in only in the burlap bag. Maybe though if some website sells pre-packed sealed coffee grounds you can just slip that into the burlap bag then.

Thank you everyone! We’re doing a destination wedding in DR and my mother plans on getting some local coffee. After everyone’s input I plan to put in a sealed plastic bag first and then place in the burlap bags to get the look I’m looking for.

I just went to a wedding recently and their favors were little mini jars of coffee beans OR tea. They attached a steeper to the cork of the jar and it was all super cute. I don't think it's a big deal how you store it to be perfectly honest. The guests likely won't keep it in there for a long time as you would in your house in a bag and it will be such a small quantity that it's most likely not a huge deal anyways.
