I suggest choosing something that is edible and/or something that represents you and you fiance as a couple! Maybe do something that is local to the area you're getting married in? Or choose you and your fiance's favorite desserts/snacks - cookies, smores kit, candy, popcorn, etc. If you don't want to do a food item, you could always do something practical like luggage tags or bottle openers. I also suggest leaving your name/wedding date off of the items (unless it's on a tag or on the packaging for the item). Otherwise, wedding favors are totally optional and can be skipped.

Edibles. Bear in mind that most will get left behind so put the money toward the guest experience of food/drink/entertainment or toward your photos.

Definitely something edible, and something you and FH won't mind having extras of, just in case. For our wedding next year, we plan on doing coffee packets that say "The Perfect Blend". It fits us because we both love coffee, and wouldn't mind having leftover if guests don't take any. Plus they won't go bad right away if we do end up with a bunch.

I’m going to make photo coasters for everyone. Currently trying to source a photo of FH and I with each of our guests to use as the photo. Personalised, and useful and hopefully a nice talking point for guests!

We had the same question about favors and a lot of people also said something edible. I think we are gonna go with custom M & M's that were our wedding colors. With some wedding images on them that is on their site. Might add something other than that. Not sure but it was the only thing we liked.

Definitely something edible! In my experience, guests tend to leave non-edible favors behind and most of them end up getting thrown out.

    Skip them entirely!

We did, no one noticed, and we didn't have to worry about budgeting for them, or having a ton of ... whatever ... left over.

We are going to do little jar candles with a customized sticker on them. I love candles and would not mind having a bunch left over!

Take old marmelade glasses, paint them with some pattern or little pictures with windowcolour as lanterns and put a cake bake mix in. That's an idea, I'm currently thinking about. Sure, that's not something for over 50 people.

I’ve ordered all my wedding favors from an Etsy shop! Everything I needed, I needed within a week because I left everything for last minute and the shop owner was able to have it to me just in time
They communicated so well with me & has patience with all my questions and everything was perfect! Definitely recommend. Best part is they customized everything for me 😫😍 all my guests were so impressed! Etsy.com/shop/belamodaclothing

We are doing little jugs of locally made maple syrup. It will fit in nicely with our fall wedding and we think it'll be a nice souvenir of our area, not just our wedding. Plus people can use it, and it won't just get tossed away. For the kids, we got a bunch of sticker and coloring books, crayons, and little activities and fun things. The kids will now all be older (thanks, Covid!), so maybe they won't care as much, but we're also going to get them glow sticks and fun stuff to do at the kids table. Smiley heart
