Wedding favors - yes or no?

Lauren, on August 7, 2020 at 8:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
We have the option of swapping out favors for late night snacks instead for people who want to stay longer at the reception. Thoughts on that? Are favors even a thing anymore?

If you're going to do favors, do something that is edible. Otherwise, a late night snack might be a better option.

Favors are a thing but not a requirement. I would say for now a days personalized hand sanitizer or something edible or drinkable.

I think I’d rather do favors thatre edible too that way everyone would get it and not just only those who stay late

Most people leave favors behind, even the edible ones. Save your money that you would have used on them for a rainy day or put it toward food/drink/entertainment at the reception that guests will remember.

From my experience people for the most part don't take favors home. I've been to a few weddings that I ended up taking home a few extra favors while helping clean up.
I would do the late night snacks, guests will love it. No one will care if the favors are missing.

    Snaaaaaaaaaaaacks!

    ...I'm always hungry.

We skipped favors entirely, and no one noticed.

Lol, totally agree! Especially if you have drinking & dancing. I would love something with protein (tacos, sliders, breakfast burritos, mini hot dogs). Carbs ok too (pizza, pretzel). Just no sugar snacks because too much sugar with alcohol.
