Wedding favors- Candy Buffet- Would you like it?

Jessica, on July 6, 2019 at 7:39 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 34
We were planning to do a candy bar with all old school/ childhood candies. These were the candies we were going to do (some, not all of them).

Gummy Bears

Tootsie Rolls

Charleston Chews

Nerds

Runts***

Jaw breakers

Red hots

Sixlets

Sweet tarts

Now and laters

Pixie Stix

Mary Janes

Chiclets

Mike and Ikes

Sugar Daddy

Bit O Honey

Laffy Taffy

Chic o sticks

My question is, how many of you as a guest would enjoy and actually take a bag of candy.
Please note: I AM NOT ASKING IF I SHOULD DO THE CANDY BAR OR NOT. I AM ASKING IF YES YOU WOULD LIKE IT OR NO YOU WOULDN'T.
I personally would not myself, but FH is a big candy eater and the above list is his favorites. He liked the idea but said he wasn't sure how many ppl would actually take it.

If people would enjoy and use it, I definitely want to do it. If not, i just don't want to go through all the work of setting it up and buying the candy.

Also I personally have not been to a wedding with a candy buffet.

I had a candy bar at my wedding and it was a hit. I would add some chocolate candy to your list above. I recommend having a mix of gummy, chewy, hard, and chocolate candy.

I think it’s a cute idea, but I wouldn’t take a bag of candy. Are you having kids at the wedding? Mine would go crazy.

This and maybe get a few sugar free candies for people who can’t or don’t do sugar.

Following because our favors will be bags of cookies off our cookie bar so...similar. I think it's a fun idea and I'd take some home but my fh probably wouldn't take much if any.

It’s a cute idea but I agree with adding some chocolate and some sugar free options. I would also limit the different kinds of candy you have. That seems like a very long list. Good luck

I would definitely, but what about the chocolate for your chocolate loving guests? Lol. I want a candy bar, but my FH doesn’t, so my answer my be a little bias.

Yes, nnow if there was chocolate, i would like it too. However, our reception and wedding is outdoors and we're in SC, so it may still be in the 80s during that time and I was afraid of it melting.

That's a good idea for the sugar free. But our reception and wedding are outdoors and most likely it will be in the 80s... afraid chocolate will melt.

Sorry, thought I added in that is not our list. Those are just the possible options (they're FHs favorites lol). Will definitely add some sugar free options. Im worried about chocolate melting (chocolate candy is my personal preference) because wedding and reception is outdoors in SC. Will probably be in 70s to 80s.
