Wedding Favor Ideas

My advice for favors is to either choose items that are meaningful to your relationship that you wouldn't mind having a bunch left over (since people sometimes leave favors behind), or skip them and save the money. For your shot glass idea, you could buy cheap plastic shot glasses in bulk, and then fill them with your favorite treats (M&Ms, chocolate covered pretzels, mints, etc). Or if you're both coffee lovers or your first date was at a coffee shop, you could choose mini jars of chocolate covered coffee beans. Or if you both like to read, you could choose book marks. Food items (chocolates, pretzels, cookies, etc) are often popular, as well as functional items (decks of playing cards, sunglasses, mini hand sanitizers, etc.). If there isn't anything you like within budget, it's also totally fine to skip favors and save the money.

One of my sister's best friends got married in 2021. She is a huge coffee/tea lover, so for her wedding favors, she collected coffee mugs and her dad built a board that they hang on. Four years later, it's my favorite coffee mug and I think of her frequently when I use it. I'm not sure what the cost was, but I think she got most of them from thrift shops. I love the idea of using shot glasses for your favors since it's so meaningful to you. See if you can find used ones for cheap at thrift stores or online stores like Ebay and Mercari.
