Wedding excitement!

Charlene, on July 20, 2020 at 10:38 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 16
Anyone else use this forum to get all their wedding day excitement out? I feel like since I booked my venue all I talk about is my wedding, I don't want to get on my family's nerves so I post on wedding forums with other excited brides😅😅. I feel like only other "bride to be" know the excitement of planning your perfect day.

Ah that’s totally what I did! I felt like I wasn’t getting as much excitement from my friends as I did the people here

Me too, I feel like I'm such a bother sometimes. So I get my opinions and feedback here as well.

I know how you feel! My family is more excited now that the wedding is closer, but for a while I felt like I had to keep everything to myself because everyone was sick of hearing it.

Lol I love getting all my wedding energy out on the forum. I can get my fiance to help out when its actually time to commit to decisions, but I don't want to push it and overwhelm him, so speaking to other brides is kind of perfect sometimes. Plus I feel like some of my relatives get annoyed, especially since covid and being out of work I have nothing else going on to talk about so I tend to turn to wedding stuff, like a lot of diy lately and I think the fam gets sick of it.

Same here, I'm a stay at home mom. Have a 3yr old and 5m old twins, so I've been quarantine for quite sometime. All I have to talk about is my wedding and my kids, I think people getting tired of hearing about both😅😅😅

It’s contagious! I come on here to read and consume all of the bride talk Smiley smile I love how excited everyone gets over sharing their visions and ideas.

Yes! We haven't told many people about the wedding yet (family reasons and waiting to lock down a few key details before anyone tries to put their opinions in) and my fiance doesn't share my excitement about it because she would be fine with eloping. But I want a big-ish wedding so she is giving that to me, but I use WW to get my ideas and get my excitement out so I don't bug her too much with it all lol

Yes, I think using the forum is my avenue to working on my wedding excitement. I hate talking about it with friends because I don't really want their opinions and many of them are guests so I definitely don't want to ruin all the surprises. Smiley smile

I don't get as much "excitement" over the planning process because I feel like I'm just planning another event (I plan events for my job all the time) - But there are some finer details that I do get excited over. Like yesterday we got our first RSVP back Smiley smile

Oh I definitely do the same thing! I feel so annoying bothering my family and friends about it, but it just makes me happy to talk about! This forum is one of my biggest hobbies, haha!
