Wedding email address

So, I am thinking about creating an e-mail address just for wedding stuff. Where people can contact us, and all our wedding information will be in one email spot. Instead of two.

Has anyone else done this? Did it make keeping organized easier?

    I have a second email address that I use for "wedding junk" email. For my vendors and other things like that, I tend to just use my personal email.

    Personally, I find it confusing (accidently sent emails using the wrong address and now I can't keep them straight.) I'm thinking about dropping the second address.

    I did i actually made 2 of them. lol one for me & one for both of us. & it really did help when it came time to e-mailing my wedding planner & all the vendors that my wedding vendor has to offer too.

    I have a second email as well. It is so much better for me to keep everything organized with the wedding email address. I totally recommend it.

    Yep! I definitely have one as well! Just create folders to help keep emails organized!

    I did a wedding e-mail. It helps keep things organized for me. Much easier to find replies from vendors when they are not buried under 1000 junk mails from facebook. It's also nice if you don't want a ton of people to know your personal e-mail.

    I was thinking all of the same things. Having vendor stuff all in one area and not having to struggle finding it between every other email I get.

    We have a second Email, We just combined our last names, FH thought of it & i'm glad he did.. Its been great having all wedding emails going to one place, that we can both check.. I wish I would have done it sooner!

    I did and I would recommend it! I didn't at first and my inbox was flooded with spam. It also allows me to keep my conversations with vendors via email in one place. FH works for Verizon so we have an extra line now that was only $5/mo with his discount and I use that number for wedding related stuff (I went to a Bridal Expo and got a million phone calls).

    I would say go for it.

    We also have a second email address meant just for the wedding. It's really helpful... especially since I mostly get spam on my normal email.

    If you go to DB, you might want to have a second e-mail address just to give to them. They will sell your information to every wedding vendor on earth. At least if you give them a different e-mail address, your regular one won't get spammed.

    I wish I had thought of this! It's not so bad right now - but I am dreading the day after the wedding when all of those bridal bargain and newsletter emails keep coming and I'm going to have to unsubscribe from all of them! Would definitely have been nice to just have them in a wedding email that I can just forget about after the wedding!

    I did it & love it... I have all my wedding emails going there & my personal email is not getting clogged up with all the advertisements from DB & all the other places... After the wedding I either delete it or keep it, we will see I guess

    Yups, we sure did. And I have the emails going there to be forwarded to my personal one because I don't check that account that often and I don't want to miss anything.

    I think it's a good idea if you check it daily. If not, it's a huge hassle for any vendors who are trying to communicate with you via email.
