Wedding early May in California

You can put in the city and future date and it will show you the what the sun position will be and at what time. I have also heard that if you want golden hour photos, find out what time sunset will be and set your ceremony time 2 hours prior.

Weather will be hit or miss. This past year was nice, but my friend had an outdoor wedding early May in 2017 and it rained. It won’t be too dark, but it also won’t be summertime light. If you’re worried about pictures either do a first look beforehand or get all family/wedding party pictures done ahead of time so you can focus on your portraits.

Where are you located? Northern California weather is different from Southern. Southern is hot and dry depending on where you are. Check weather.com or almanac.com for temperatures and https://sunrise-sunset.org for times of sunset lengths.

I am a native of the Bay Area and May is the most unpredictable month of alll-- we tend to call it the bipolar weather month (true to Gemini nature)!
