Wedding dress!!!

Hi, I need help!!!! I'm getting married next Friday. Yay!!! We are having a photpshoot prior to the ceremony, which is at 5:30 pm may I add. Now here is my dilemma. I want to wear my gorgeous wedding dress for the shoot, but I also don't want to because I want him to see me with the dress on for the first time when I walk down the isle. I feel like he won't feel the same since he already saw idk (ME overthinking). I have a second for the reception and I'm thinking maybe I can wear that one for the shoot and wear my wedding dress for the ceremony and reception. Help!!! I wanted to purchase a third dress, but I feel like it's too much changing and hubby is gonna have the same fit in all the pics while I have 3 different dresses idk it doesn't seem right!!!!

I have similar thoughts. Here's what I am doing. My dress has a detachable train, so I am going to have the train off for the photos before the ceremony. I also will not be wearing my veil for the pre ceremony pictures. So when I come down the aisle, I will have the train on the dress, and a veil and I feel like those two things will make it feel different enough! And then we will snap some pictures after with the train and veil on post ceremony.
I think the reception dress idea is super fun too!
It is so easy to overthink these things, but seeing you come down the aisle is going to be so special. the "first look" pictures, and the walking down the aisle will be two totally different moments, and each will be special in their own way!

Oh yes! That sounds like a great idea. I'm sure your dress will look gorgeous. Maybe I can take the pics without the veil. Im sure that alone will make a huge difference. Thank you so much. I got a headache this morning searching for a 3rd dress and just thinking about it.

Idk what your dress looks like, but you could bustle it if you do have a train and that could be another "change" from the pictures to the ceremony. Glad to have helped!

So what you're doing is called a "First Look" and it's pretty standard these days. There are plenty of articles online that list pros and cons. Most people afterwards say they don't feel like the ceremony lost anything by doing it but that it calmed their nerves so they could focus more.
