Hey beautiful ladys, I have found my perfect wedding dress and I want to order it before I can't find it again (I have only found it on 2 website.) My wedding is 2 years away and I don't know if I should wait or just go ahead and order my dress. Please help me! What did you do? Thank you.

Two years out seems like a little far in advance for your dress. Are you absolutely certain that this is the dress you want? If you are sure you won't change your mind later, I say go for it! Otherwise, maybe wait until around a year before your wedding, just to make sure you don't find a different dress you like better later on.

If it is in budget and you cannot gets it out of your mind- I would check the return policy to see what it is, as you’d be getting it online and not seem to feel material or how it REALLY looks, as well as if it would fit.

I did that myself- only I went to the store to try in “fluffy stuff” and bought one, 5 YEARS before he proposed!!!!! I am NOT the same size I was then. I have a new dress I love, & hope I fit it when we marry next October. My son helped me pick it out so it’s more special & I don’t regret not having everyone there with me for that “TV bridal show moment”- I had that with the gown I’ll wear 10/2/21.
I say *IF* you do buy it make sure to upsize- and REMEMBER wedding dresses are a size Smaller than what you wear normally! If you are a 10 they will have you in a 12 or 14 at the bridal shop & it will fit like the 10! So order the 14- MUCH easier to take in more then let out. And you don’t know where your weight will be- heavier or smaller...
Best of luck. But let us know what you decide

Have you tried on the dress yet in person, or is it just something you saw online and liked? I would highly suggest trying on dresses before buying. A lot of the dresses I loved online, ended up being much different in person and I ended up with a dress that was the complete opposite of what I was eyeing. You have a lot of time and wedding dress styles go "out of style" fast, so you might end up changing your mind later on.

I personally wouldn’t. My big wedding is one year from now and I am heavily leaning towards a style of dress but am waiting to see what the 2021 dress trends will be. I got engaged a year ago and started planning right away for two years out and a lot of my tastes and wants have changed just in the one year. Trends and styles change year to year. I wouldn’t buy the dress unless you know yourself enough that you won’t change your mind or fall in love with something else a year from now

So I bought my dress almost 2 years before my wedding and so far it’s been the best decision I’ve made. Mostly due to covid because I didn’t have to deal with all the new measures being put into place and I really enjoyed the day. My dress has a corset built in so I can tighten or loosen up to a point as long as I don’t drastically lose or gain weight. I haven’t honestly had any dress regret since then like other girls do, but I stopped looking as soon as I had it. Just be sure to size up to allow for changes in your body and be sure it’s the one you want.

I would definitely first look at the return policy just in case you change your mind

If you are absolutely sure you will not change your mind, and that you have all your correct sizing (not planning to drastically lose weight and don't see yourself gaining a large amount) i'd say go for it. My dress was my very first purchase followed by my shoes. I bought mine february 2019 for my oct 2020 (and now oct 2021) wedding. The earlier you get things done the better, you can just cross it off your list of things to do and worry about other things as well as focus your funds elsewhere.

Personally, i'd suggest trying it on first, so you can see how it fits and stuff - things you might think are great look very different in person and might not fit you the same way as you hoped. Like other's have said, read the fine print, know the return policy, know whether or not you're getting a dress off the rack or if they are making your dress. That'll all make a difference i think in decision making...
