Wedding Dress

Desirae, on June 25, 2019 at 9:56 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 34
Where did everyone get their wedding dresses!? And if its not too much to ask how much were they? I already bought mine but thinking about how much hurts my soul, even though I did a payment plan, it’s still a huge investment and i still have alterations to pay for up front... wondering if i should have looked harder and for cheaper options....
also, i live in Las Vegas, you would think I had oodles of options but every place I went was insane and same prices. So I just found one at Davids Bridal and called it good (still expensive as hell). Its beautiful but still needs work for it to be MY dress and it was the second one i ordered because I am THAT indecisive bride . *facepalm*

I went to David's Bridal too. It was Marked 399.99 on the register, but it had been mis-marked on the floor sample as 299.99 so they gave it to me for that. I didn't have to even put up a fuss that did it without my asking. I don't know what alterations will be yet though

I decided to go the evening/prom gown or any kind of dress route. It's a lot cheaper finding a white dress that's not labeled or categorized as wedding. So I bought mine off of forever 21 for $27. That sounds totally weird but it worked out beautifully. No one believed it was from forever 21

I hired a private seamstress and so far have paid $150 for alterations. Probably have another $100 for alterations closer to thhe wedding

I didn't know what I was going to spend. I got a David's credit card, abut I knew I didn't want to spend the whole amount on the dress, that way I could use it for any alterations too

We got ours at a wedding consignment store. It was $450 for each one, and then we paid a local seamstress $100 each for alterations.

I bought mine at a bridal shop in Sacramento and spent $1300.00 off the rack. I still have to get alterations which I'm budgeting $600.00 for.

I live in Las Vegas too and had the same notions on prices. I actually tried DB but nothing really hit for me. Not too far into planning, I found my dream dress! Unfortunately, I found it on a weird website that I didn't really trust and I couldn't find the designer or a valid shop (physical or online) to buy it. I was stressing out until I finally contacted Anamolie. They do custom dresses. I showed them the dress I want and the changes I wanted and went over the different materials and embellishments. To customize it from scratch, they quoted me $1250 (obviously minus any alterations I'm sure I'll need). Either way, I'm super excited!

I went to a little bridal boutique first and tried on dresses in the $**** range and they were gorgeous of course, but then I went to David’s and completely fell in love with a dress that was $650 and I was shocked when I saw the price. I feel so much better about paying $1200 less than the original dress I thought I was going to get!!

I went to a small quinceanera shop in Washington state. My gown is by Mary's Bridal and I paid $927 after tax. I also spent $150 on alterations.

I got my dress my BHLDN. I didn't want to go over $1000, but my dress ended up being $1330. I had my first fitting a couple weeks ago and remembered just how much I love my dress. It's hard to remember how you feel about it until it goes back on.

I got mine from a local bridal consignment shop in Phoenix. It was $1500 and they average $450 in alterations. I won’t need that much done to the dress as it fits me like a glove so I’m hoping for minimal extra costs. I wanted a ball gown so I knew I needed a higher budget so I could get the poof. The shop said if I bring it back in great condition they will buy it back from me so that’s what I’m gonna do so maybe I won’t pay $1500 in the end.
