Wedding dress!

Iraly, on June 22, 2019 at 9:19 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
I’ve been to 3 different wedding gown stores and I still haven’t found the one! I’m feeling a bit discouraged soooo tell me, how long did you take to pick your dress? And how did you know it was the one?

I think everyone is different. For me it was one store, David's Bridal, and the second dress I tried on. I had been doing tons of online looking though to narrow down when I did and didn't want. I was in wedding where the bride went to 5 different stores before she found the one she was looking for

I went only to David's Bridal! I found my dress within 45 minutes. I knew I wanted to try that one on, and I had four others to try before it. When I put my dress on, I teared up and so did my mom and sisters. We all knew it was the dress! I will say, I didn't immediately LOVE all of it. There are little floral appliqués that I didn't fall in love with until it was altered with cups sewn in, then it lay right! Now, I can't WAIT to wear it in 46 days!

I've heard of brides visiting 10+ stores, my older sister went to about 5 before finding one at David's Bridal. Don't get discouraged! When you find THE dress, you'll just know it. I don't really know how to describe it, but I knew it was the one. I could see myself saying "I do" and dancing the night away.

I only went to one store. I tried on 6 dresses. I fell in love with the 3rd one. I tried it on again at the end to make sure it was the one. My sister said my face lit up again just like it did the first one. It was a no brainer, I still look at the pictures and can’t help but smile.

I only went to one store. I went to David’s bridal with my 4 year old son. He helped look through dresses and chose a few he wanted me to try. Ultimately, the dress I fell in love with was one that he chose for me, which just makes it all the more special. Can’t tell me my child doesn’t have amazing taste! Lol

I went to three different stores, tried on about 20-25 dresses, and bought the very last one that I tried on.

I actually went to one store back in November, bought a dress, ended up hating it because I rushed, went to Davids and finally found one!

I went to 3 different stores. But before going dress shopping the first time, I had a list of dresses & designers I wanted to try. That really helped me. The 2nd dress I tried on at the 1st store, I ended up choosing when I put it on as the first dress at the 3rd store. I think the difference was having both my mom & dad there the 2nd time I tried it. Plus knowing I had tried on many of the dresses I knew I really wanted to try before making my decision. I ended up having that “omg” moment & am in love with my dress!

I had one custom made, and didn't love it when it finally came. I sold it and bought another. Overall took a few months for me. I refused to go to stores since I don't live being the center of attention. I found mine online at bhldn. Sometimes you don't feel like it's the one and and that's totally normal! Once you get the whole look together and see him in his attire that might be the time it hits! Good luck

Hang in there! I had to go to 8-10 shops to find The One. And at the last shop, I also found my reception dress. Double win. But man, I hated dress shopping because the style I wanted wasn’t in.

I looked online at what felt like thousands of dresses. One day, I found a picture of a dress that just took my breath away. So, I went on a mission to find out who the designer was and the price, et al.

Turns out it was in my price range, the silhouette I intended to wear, and the color I wanted (gold/champagne).

Found a few boutiques and stumbled on one having a trunk show for the designer. They got the sample of this gown for me and I tried on about 6 dresses before putting on my internet obsession. I loved it and bought it.

So, I guess it was love at first sight for me.

I found mine online kind of randomly to be honest and when it came I didn't expect much but it ended up being the one. I did go to stores after and weirdly didn't like any as much as the one I got
