Yesterday I found my wedding dress!! I’m extremely happy I’ve been looking at it online for a long time and when I went to try it on I fell in love!!! Later that night I was looking through IG and saw a picture from my FH’s cousins wedding a few weeks ago (we did not attend) her dress is the same as mine and now I’m having dress regret. I don’t want anyone thinking I copied her because we got the same dress I didn’t even know what her dress looked like because I wasn’t paying attention to the pictures. My FH’s family already thinks we’re copying her because we’re also doing our first dance song (which has been our song FOREVER) to the song she and her husband danced to. I just wanted to feel original my dress and know all I can think about is people thinking I copied her when I didn’t even attend her wedding.

I would pick the dress that your heart wants. Unless a dress is custom made it can happen that way. Maybe go try it on again and see how it makes you feel again. It might give you the reassurance you need

I honestly couldn't tell you what any bride's dress looked like at the weddings that I've attended recently. I don't think it's something other guests remember after a wedding either. Besides, dresses look extremely different on different people and you will have different accessories.

You said it yourself, you fell in love with it before trying it on, and you were certain when you did.
It's your dress because you chose it.
You both have great taste, nothing wrong with that! Who cares about what others think. I say wear it with pride and joy! Congratulations!❤

If you feel beautiful in your dress, and that’s the one your heart told you you should marry your FH in, then that’s your dress!! It’s ok that it was someone else’s “the one” too.

Rock your dress AND your song! I know for sure that some other bride has undoubtedly worn my dress before, and some other couple has undoubtedly done our first dance song, BUT that's not what's important. What is important is you and your FH, having something that is important and meaningful to you. You aren't "copying" unless you went out of your way to do the exact same things she did, which you didn't.
Like others have said, people hardly remember exactly what a wedding dress looked like on a bride. I doubt your guests will notice, and the people who do should just appreciate how it looks on you! If you add your own accessories, that'll change the look, too
Do what makes you happy and makes you feel beautiful.
