Wedding Dress

Well I got my dress the day I bought it because I got it at a wedding dress consignment shop so basically it has been hanging in my closet since February and I have to stare at it every time I go to get something. My fiancé makes jokes about looking at it since we live together and finally I just took the dress and unzipped it from the dress bag and showed him the fabric without taking it out so really he didn’t see much at all, but it honestly made me feel better because I hate keeping secrets/surprises. I totally understand how you feel!

I waited til the wedding day during first looks but showed him some that looked sorta similar or had some characteristics of it

I have not shown him and he won’t be seeing it until the day of! When I first got it, it was SUPER hard and all I would think about it. I also can never keep surprises from him so that didn’t make it any easier, plus he kept saying how excited he was to see it so it was driving me crazy! Now we’re only 2 months away and as excited as I am for him to see, I don’t think about it as much. Helps that the days are flying by too.

There was a part of me that wanted to show him because he's my best friend and I value his opinion, but I know I want him to be surprised, and that's what he wants too. I know he won't peek

I caved with such excitement and I showed him my dress. I don't feel too bad though because I am getting it custom made and he only saw the base of what I want my dress to look like. I'm getting a few minor changes done from the original picture so he still doesn't know 100% what it WILL look like. There will still be an element of surprise.

Yeeees... I showed him a pic and he seemed disappointed! 😝 On our wedding day he was all gushy though. Whew.

I showed my fiance a picture of the dress from the website. He doesn't even remember what it looks like lol.

He wont see it until the wedding day! He is super adamant about that and I tried to show him a pic of the belt I added to it and he wouldnt even see that! It's really cute seeing him be super traditional

I'm dying to show FH my dress but he wants no part of it until the ceremony, no dress pics, no peeks and no first look. It's going to be a difficult time for me lol

Not showing him until the day of. He knows it's lace, ivory, and has cap sleeves but that's it. It's been very hard to keep myself from talking about it around him. Lol It's been hanging in our closet since December but he hasn't peeked and I pretend it's not there. I did just go for my first fitting last weekend so it's currently out of the house so I feel less pressure to keep it a secret! Lol

He's seen it...in pictures...on me. Now, he hasn't seen it with all accessories, shoes, etc. Primarily because I don't have them yet. We're not traditional and there is a good chance we'll get ready together, so he will likely see it all before the ceremony.

My FH was with me when I picked up my dress, but he didn't see it. He even turned around when the attendant opened up the bag to make sure I got the right dress.
