Wedding dress..

Kayla, on June 3, 2019 at 7:20 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3
So I am getting married next year in May hopefully and wondering when everyone started looking/shopping for a dress? I'm 5months pregnant, which is why we're not getting married until next year. So I am a little bummed that I can't start looking or even trying dresses on.

Congraaats! On both occasions!!!! Exciting times!

I bought my dress last month and we are 11 months out. But in your case maybe start looking at style and and colors and all that. When are you due?

Depending on where you get your dress can depend on how long it takes to get it. If you get in from a consignment shop you buy it and get it that day so you can do it closer to your date without hassle. If you try a sample dress on and then get measured for your own dress it could take months. I think the average time is 9 months out to make sure you get it in time for final fitting and in time for your wedding.

Hey Kayla! Welcome to the WeddingWire community!

WOW, double congratulations are in order, on your engagement, and on your pregnancy!!Smiley love

As Cori mentioned, for the average wedding dress timeline you should buy it 9 months before your wedding date to allow for it to be ordered in and then alteration once you have it.

You still have a bit of time before you need to make a commitment to your dress but you could definitely start thinking about styles and what your like/don't like so that you re prepared when the time comes!!
