Sometimes depending on the dress a seamstress can let it out a little, but not always. If it's really close you could try some shapewear underneath.

Find a seamstress in your area with good reviews and ask them.

It depends on how much it needs let out. The amount a dress can be let out depends on the dress.

You could probably have the zipper switched out for a lace- up corset back to give you more room.

Do you mean you can’t pull it over or just zip it? Are you “swimming” into the dress or stepping in?

Hi Rebecca! Welcome to WeddingWire and congrats on your engagement! Smiley heart

I would start by talking to a seamstress or alterations specialist. They will have answers for you, depending on your dress, if they can make it a lace-up back or let it out a bit. Smiley heart

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions throughout your wedding planning process, please don't hesitate to connect or post another discussion in our Community!
