Hello everyone! I'm having my wedding September 26 2020 and was wondering when I should start wedding dress shopping? Is it better to start looking early or to wait??

I'm also getting married September 26, 2020. I found my dress about a month ago and it's not coming in until the end of April. So that gives me about 4-5 months with alterations and stuff. If I were you I'd probably start looking soon just Incase the place you find your dress is 8-9 months before it comes in.

Hi, we're getting married September 19, 2020 and I'm about to purchase my dress in about a week. I started shopping in July! I'd definitely start now and have it picked out no later than September or the first week in October.

I'm getting married October 3, 2020 and I just bought and ordered my dress August 10th! I started shopping in May, but I am a bit ambitious when it comes to planning.

I'm getting married in October and shopped in January. For you, I'd recommend checking if any boutiques near you run black Friday (or white Friday) sales after Thanksgiving - you might be able to snag a great deal!

I was told it should be purchased no later than 10 months out for proper alterations time, fittings etc!

I'm getting married September 19, 2020. I've gone dress shopping once but don't have my dress yet - I'm aiming to purchase it by October or November of this year. I'd start looking now and then plan to purchase it about 10 months out, or sooner if you see something you love right away!

It's totally fine to start looking and even trying on different styles to see what you like and don't like!

A year in advance is best since some dresses can take as much as 8 months to arrive. You want to have time for alterations just in case something needs to be changed or fixed.
