Wedding dress websites (Is weddingdresshouse.com legit?)

Malloryd31, on May 3, 2021 at 5:17 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20
Does anyone know if the website weddingdresshouse.com a legit website to buy a wedding dress from. I fell in love with a Justine Alexander dress this weekend but it is way out of budget. So I found something similar from Essence of Australia. And I was wanted to order from this website because of the price but I don’t know if they are legit to buy from. Anyone have any experience with them?

I'm waiting on my dress that I ordered from Alamour the Label. All of the reviews seemed legit, and I loved how modern and sexy they were! And not super expensive.

Sorry, it looks pretty scammy to me. I wouldn't order from there. One example: they have the 2019 "best of Knot weddings" logo (very fuzzy) in the bottom corner but I couldn't actually find them on the official list. Also no reviews, no actual address listed for returns, loads of grammatical errors all over the website. Lots of red flags. Screams scam to me!

You'd likely be getting a replica of a designer dress made somewhere in China, not the original designer. If you are ok with that, just make sure you read through their return policy.

If you’re open to having a preowned dress, I could see if I could find the Justin Alexander! What’s the style number?

I’m open to the idea of having a preowned dress in good condition. The style number of the Justin Alexander is 99096 and the wedding shop I went to where I live was charging $3,700 for it and that’s way out of my budget. I found that Essense of Australia dress, style number D2952 and thought I looked a little similar because of the fabric and the bottom of the dress. So I thought I would try that’s style since it would be cheaper.

Yeah, I couldn’t find any reviews on them. So I wasn’t sure. I even messaged the customer service team on the knot and they said it wasn’t legit

Have you tried looking at eBay or on poshmark or even offerip?

The dress I wanted was a discontinued style originally $1200. I almost bought the clearance floor sample for $300 but held off. Found a few used and NWT online on all 3 sites and was able to buy mine new with tags for $210 on eBay including shipping. Dress came as promised on the original bad from the bridal shop.

I did see that one. But, I would be a size 20 because I was told his dresses run small.

I just searched for that style number too and didn't see anything. ☹️ But you can probably find something really similar in a more affordable price range from some other legit websites. Just keep your eyes open and look for the style, not the name. 🙂

Thank you for looking 🤗 I’ve had about the same luck. I figured just getting something in a similar style but in a different brand would work. I need to win the lotto or something 🤣

Nah, I get it. I'm a cheap @ss so I was pretty excited to score my dress so cheaply. Alterations are still going to cost 500-something though. 😑

But even if money we're no object, I think I'm generally just too thrifty to spend more than a couple hundred on something I'm only going to wear for a few hours. I don't mind spending money on things that I'll use (like no joke, I generally break down prices on clothing per wear so like if I've managed to wear something X number if times than the cost was worth it). But I know that wedding dresses are a big deal to most women, so I get it. We're spending thousands on our DJ and lighting because that's what's important to me.
Just keep looking. You'll find something that fits your budget and what you have in mind. 😊

It looks like that dress is a pretty recent release and is still being sold in stores. I don’t see it posted anywhere on stillwhite.com or preownedweddingdresses.com, but you could always keep checking- and sometimes gowns also wind up on poshmark. Hope that helps!

I am in the process right now. I made an appointment for the bridal store try-on with dresses STARTING at $1200!!! Now, they have AMAZING sample sales $199 but limited sizes. I also have several friends looking online and the biggest contender for affordable resale is EBAY 😱but they typically do not offer returns. JJs and Ali express keep surfacing with amazing deals. Still deciding.

They removed this from my last post!!! AZAZIE has excellent quality, typical “bridal sizes”, legit service and $10-15 try-ons. Price range from $300-800. A good option for a budget bride.
