Wedding Dress Travel Garment Bag for Destination Wedding

Dora, on November 26, 2022 at 11:03 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
I plan on carrying on my wedding dress on the flight to Mexico for my destination wedding. Does anyone have a recommendation for a foldable garment bag for my wedding dress? I’ve searched on Amazon, but most are either that paper fabric material that seems flimsy or an actual garment bag for suits that probably won’t fit a tulle skirt wedding dress.

I don’t have a garment bag recommendation but I do want to share that it may be possible to ask an airline attendant to hang your garment bag instead of putting it in an overhead bin.

    Good luck!

David’s bridal sells good dress bags that fit everything in it.

It is nicest when the flight attendant can hang up your dress but if you see 10 other brides getting on the flight, this option might not be available. So it is good at least to have that garment bag and maybe something to hold it together when folded in that bag. Then you would be better prepared either way.

That’s actually where my dress is from, but I only have the garment bag that came with the dress. It’s ok for transporting home, but not the sturdiest for travel. Thanks!

I’m hoping there’s not too many other brides on the flight. I'm also going to bring little chocolate treats for the flight attendants, so they help me out if they can. Thanks!

You would have to check if the airline allows tipping. Also, a food "tip" could require caution by the air staff who might be concerned about getting sick from unknown food sources. Also, of course, my earlier point was that the closet(s) might be in use for some other priority storage.

    An article is available here:
