Wedding dress too similar?

I have found my dream dress. As soon as I tried it on my bridal party said that’s the one! I absolutely love it and haven’t found anything else since.
The only problem is I’m worried it’s too similar to a friend dress. Her wedding will be two year before mine.
it is similar in that it is straps and has an illusion back, however mine has lots of beading and is more fitted.

I see what you mean by they look kinda similar but key word "kinda" really all i see somewhat the same are the straps & neck line other then that there completely different and you can make it look even more different with a certain veil. I hope this help but personally i think you're find to pick that dress!

I don't think they are that similiar to be honest. A lot of dresses have the same features however they look like two completely different dresses to me.

They're similar but I get a different vibe from yours than hers. Hers to me is more casual or a feel and yours is a bit more elegant... I suppose the beading. If you're concerned about it. Maybe shoot her a text saying "I found my dream dress. It has a similar shape to yours but I think it's different enough.... It's perfect!"

I wouldn’t worry about this at all. Two years is a long time apart and as PP said, the only one who will notice would probably be the other bride. Are you super close with her? If you are, maybe a courtesy message would be nice, but if not I honestly don’t think you should worry about this at all.

The shape is similar, but I prefer your gown and its details. It is gorgeous! If you love the gown and thibk your FH will love seeing you in the gown, that’s all that matters.

No one is going to remember her dress from two years prior. I’ve been to three weddings this year and I couldn’t even tell you any details of the women’s wedding dresses.

It is similar, but with a two year gap no one will remember. And unless you have identical guest lists it wouldn’t matter anyway even if it was the next day. It’s such a beautiful dress you’re going to look amazing in it!

I don’t think they’re too similar! Plus nobody will remember. And really it’s all about what looks best on YOU and how you glow in the dress that fits you best, that’s what people will remember. Get it!

Here's the thing. Even if they were the same exact dress no one would notice.Besides the fact that the weddings are two YEARS apart lol everyone's body is different and dresses don't look the same on everyone, especially once you factor in jewelry, hairstyle, and veils.Don't worry about this one.

Hi Sarah! It's your special day! Even if the dresses were the same dress (which they're not) you will still look stunning and beautiful! Every bride is beautiful in their own ways, and if you feel confident in this dress then you should wear it! I bet no one will even make the connection between the two! The dress is so pretty and I think you should go for it!
