Wedding Dress Supply Chain Woes

Jam, on January 20, 2022 at 8:24 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Everyone keeps telling me about the dress shortage. I don't know where to even begin! I want to spend less than $1000 on a wedding dress. David's Bridal was going to be my go to. But there just aren't that many dresses in stock. Any suggestions? Ebay and similar websites are a bit tricky because it is more difficult to try on before committing.

I hadn’t heard of a dress shortage. There are many designers under $1000 without going to David’s. If you are open to online shopping, Azazie and Cocomelody are highly recommended and they have a try on at home program for $10-20. Do a search on GoogleMaps to see what stores are in your area and let them know when you call what your budget is so there are no surprises. Major cities have wholesale districts with wedding dresses available at a fraction of the price that you will pay at a regular wedding dress shop. They are brand new, etc. and most are a different variety than the standard bridal shops.

I worked in bridal for a few years, and there’s a few lines that run under $1000. Rebecca Ingram has gorgeous dresses, most under or at $1000. You might be more familiar with the parent brand, Maggie Sottero. Enchanting by Mon Cheri is another line that’s carried pretty widely, and is under $1000.

Try azazie. Its online and you can try dresses on or order with your measurements. My dress is from there and needed minimal alterations, and the quality is fantastic. $229 total Smiley smile
