Duplicate post!! Technical issues sorry. Hey everyone!! So I have a bit of a dilemma. On Thursday I bought my wedding dress and u was so excited. Everytime I look in the mirror I love it but it looks so plain in the pictures. When I look at the pictures I almost dont want it but when I look in a mirror I love it. What's wrong with me??? Do you think a sash would help? I have a great seamstress who is very reasonable. any suggestions welcome. Oh btw the sleeves are getting fitted... not a huge fan of the bells. TIA

    That dress and all that beautiful beading is stunning! I think it may just be the lighting in the photos that throws you off. Have you tried the dress on with a belt or sash? I dont think it needs it but if you wanted that extra pop maybe that will help?

    Think a belt will make it pop more however the dress is beautiful by itself as well

    Maybe that's what it is. The lighting. I'm just freaking out lol. I spent so little on it that I'm like "am I being cheap, can I do better" I have tried it with a sash yet but that was my next step if my doubts continue.

    Any suggestions on the type of belt? Flowers, rhinestones? I'm gonna buy it, try it in and return if I think it's too much

    Your seamstress can even sew the sash on to your dress so you dont have the ribbon ties.

    I think your dress is beautiful, and will look perfect after the sleeve alterations. I don’t think you need a belt with all the pretty details on the bodice.

    I don’t think it looks plain at all in the pictures. The train absolutely beautiful. I’m not the best when it comes to fashion but I would trust the ladies on here with their opinions. Just wanted to let you know it looks great!

    I think the dress is beautiful on its own and will look better in natural light! I really would not suggest a belt, it’ll look very awkward with the detailing on the bodice

    Did you get your hair accessories & jewelry yet? That helps. Plus, wait until you get your hair & makeup done on your wedding day. It’ll all come together!

    Hey Lilia! I'm so sorry that you are having second thoughts about your dress! I'm sure it's absolutely beautiful and as long as you love it, then that's all that matters.

    What is it exactly that you aren't happy with? If it is something that you feel your seamstress can help with then have a conversation with her and see what she thinks. She will be able to guide you through what is possible to change and also manage your expectations about any changes she can make.

    Before you resort to this, have you tried on your dress with your wedding accessories? You should see how you feel about your whole look before you change the dress that you so obviously love.
