Hi brides! I hope everyone is doing well given the madness we’re all experiencing this year. Our wedding is in August 2020 and I don’t have high hopes it’ll happen as planned. We are thinking of rescheduling to next May. My question to you girls is, how are you storing your wedding dress if you have to postpone your wedding 7+ months out? TY! My heart goes out to everyone who has had to postpone

You can ask the boutique you bought it from but generally if it's in the bag you can pay it flat or doubled over in a closet and it should be just fine! (Again, ask because all material is different but most dresses are pretty sturdy). Good luck!

Mine is just in its garment bag in the closet. Just make sure it's not in plastic! Because that would cause it to trap moisture.

I bought a gatment bag and I'm storing my dress in the closet. I cant imagine anything happening to it. I haven't had it altered yet, either.

I kept my dress in a dark closet in the garment bag for a year and a half. It was perfectly fine.

I bought mine a year and a half before my wedding date. I bought a garment bag and the boutique offered to store it for me until I'm ready for alterations

Oh thank you!! I just took it out of the plastic, I'm so glad you said that. Was your garment bag acid free? Not sure if I will need to purchase one of those.

Yes it is acid free. But you can get a good one on Amazon.
