Wedding Dress Silhouettes! Ballgown, Mermaid, or Sheath?

I haven't bought mine yet, but it's going to be a tea length dress. Not sure what the silhouette would be, but it looks like a short ballgown technically.

I bought a ball gown with a low back. it's sleeveless and has pockets!!! It's ivory and a long train- there are buttons all the way down. I am going to have it bustled and a little higher in the front so my converse shoes can be seen. I am so excited; March 28, 2020!

I used anomalie and am awaiting my dress!! I chose a sheath silhouette for the reception with an A-line overskirt for the ceremony!

I'm not sure what mine is, but I can wait for her to get here, estimating her to be here by mid July!!!

View Quoted Comment I definitely know how you feel. I haven’t bought a dress yet, but everyone loved the dress my 3yo picked out for me to try (only $1800 over my budget 🙄, she’s got taste I guess). When I looked at the pictures of me in it, it just didn’t impress me at all. One of the dresses that I liked but didn’t love I actually do love in pictures, which is strange to me. I hope when your whole bridal look comes together you’ll love it just as much as you did when you first tried it on!

This is my dress

I love seeing all these dresses! I haven’t bought a dress yet, but I’ve gone to a couple places to look. Going into my first appointment I was pretty set on a fit and flare to show off my hourglass figure, but everyone kept pulling ballgowns (which I like, but don’t necessarily love). Next time I’m going to have to be more assertive, because my mom and co-MOHs would all be heartbroken to miss me picking “the one” so I feel bad excluding them from my appts.

I thought I was going to go with a long sleeve lace Sheath dress that I absolutely loved but looked so wrong on me, so I ended up getting a spaghetti strap Aline dress from the same designer. I was able to get the dress in NYC due to a family emergency forcing me to fly out & just fell in love with the style me. It wasn’t the most ideal experience because of the sense of rush but I couldn’t be happier with my dress. I can’t wait for my beach wedding 💚

A-line!! I tried on probably 50 dresses all in different silhouettes. Every time I try my dress on I never want to take it off. It is so hard not to show FH, 16 months feels so far away 🤫
