Has anyone been able to pick up their wedding dress during COVID?

I did, back in April 21st. My most expensive drive through purchase 🤣

I know you were excited to finally pick it up! I wanted to pick mine up but they weren’t really accommodating 🤦🏾‍♀️ to be a “private boutique.”

My dress shop is located in Upland CA and they are allowing try on and pick-up if you are alone and masked. They waived storage fees so I’m opting to wait until I can have a family member with me. They anticipate more typical appointments in June 🤞

That’s how it should be smh! Sounds like your bridal shop is very customer friendly. Hopefully, they open up soon because I need to get some alterations done to my dress.

Yeah they’re adapting well and keeping us brides calm lol. Same, I’m going through a individual seamstress for alterations closer to home though.

David's bridal shipped mine to me from alterations in a beat up box. Not a huge fan, but the dress got here in one piece.

@nicole I too will probably go through a seamstress as well because I was not satisfied with how they were not able to accommodate me after spending all that money on my dress. No sympathy whatsoever for us 2020 brides.

I’m sorry to hear that 🥺 That seems so ridiculous in these times. Hearing about the lack of support from some venues, vendors, and shops baffles me.

I'm glad you got yours. Mine is still in DB store being "altered" since March. I'm very nervous to not get it back in time.

Mine was also in alterations, so I haven't gotten to try the final product because my husband wants to be surprised. But I was on my final fitting - they just shipped it to me. If you ask they might fo the same for you! Check with the text service, not the phone lines, and see what's up.

They called me to tell me they haven't finished the alterations since the stores were closed. They said they won't finish till June 15th, my wedding is July4th. Makes me nervous since that leaves me no time to fix or get alternative dress if they don't finish.

I know! I’m just trying to stay positive. We aren’t doing fireworks ourselves, but we are hoping maybe there will be some near by Smiley laugh

I was fortunate enough to have mine shipped to my house! I live about 4 hours away from where I purchased the dress so this saved me a ton of time & stress. The shop I bought it from was offering free shipping or curbside pickup due to COVID. I will be doing alterations closer to home regardless so I was grateful for this option.
