Wedding Dress Shopping

I wore my regular bra but brought and changed into a strapless bra at all of my dress appointments. If you think you'll be trying on any strapless dresses I would say wear (or at least bring) the sticky bra.

I don't think it matters that much. I got my dress at DB, and just wore my regular everyday bra (it's all I had at that point). But they have all kinds of different undergarments, and I happened to try on a bunch of strapless dresses, so they whipped out the strapless bralette that worked with them so I could see what it should look like. They didn't give me a used one that millions had tried on either. It was brand new, still in the package until the stylist opened it for me. They were really great, and I felt beautiful that whole day--when I often don't. I hope you have a great experience there!! Happy shopping!!

Hey Mallory, Congratulations and welcome to WeddingWire! I didn't wear a bra to try on dresses, but I did bring a strapless bra with me. The DB consultants do have ideas of what should/needs to be worn under the dresses and can show what they have based on what you choose.

I know your appointment has passed, but for anyone else looking at this post I personally wore a strapless bra to both dress shops I visited. The first place was a little awkward and the woman helping me said to undress to my level of comfort and then brought a dress in. I ended up leaving the bra on the whole time there because it just didn't feel super comfortable and there weren't any dresses that I loved enough to worry about seeing the way they'd really be worn. At the second shop the woman helping me brought a ton of dresses into the room and I undressed to the same level. The first dress I tried had a lower lacy back, and once it was on we both kind of looked in the mirror and were like "this would be easier without a bra" so I went bra-less for the rest of the appointment. She was also much smoother at the changing process - unzipping the dress I was wearing, immediately getting the next one unzipped and ready to step into, trading dresses, and putting the first one away while I pulled up the second.
