Wedding dress shopping

Melanie, on August 18, 2019 at 1:00 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18
I’m getting married next year in October! Woohoo!
Buttt wedding dress shopping seems almost impossible, I work 40 hours a week and never seem to find time to go shopping. Anyone know of any cheap wedding dress sites that are legit?

I've heard some really good things about Azazie. I'm getting my bridesmaids dresses off the site. They offer you a chance to try them on at home, they have custom sizing too. The wedding dresses are really pretty too. I know David's bridal sells dresses on their site too

Be careful with shopping online, just because you like it online doesn't mean you will in person. Before I went shopping in stores there was this dress online that I thought I loved.. but once I tried it on I hated it. Definitely try to find time to hit some bridal shops. I got mine from David's bridal, it was a good price too. You definitely have some time to look for a wedding dress so good luck.

I have been considering getting my own dress from still white. They sell dresses that are gently used, or sometimes brand new! Many of the people selling their dresses have changed their minds on styles, but many of these dresses are designer dresses too.

I’ve heard good things about azazie wedding dresses. I was also able to make my davids bridal appointment on a Saturday so it fit with my work schedule.

At lot of bridal salons have Saturday hours! I highly recommend going in person to try them on. You may think you know what you want, but sometimes after trying a bunch of dresses on your vision totally changed. Plus it was so much fun! Probably my favorite wedding related activity! For me personally, I’d be stressed about buying something off the internet

I bought my dress from Etsy from BlushFashion. She does customs also. Her turnaround time is also really quick. I tried and returned several dresses from her shop before finding the perfect one for me. She's really responsive and also has a website outside of etsy and an IG where you can see real life brides. Her work and fabric quality is amazing and her prices are even better!

Agree about Azazie. Daughter used them for BMs' dresses and was VERY happy. There are lots of posts from brides who ordered their wedding gowns from them. Also, every bridal store I've been to has evening and weekend appointments (many are actually closed during the day on one or two weekdays and/or don't open until noon during the week, because it's pretty typical for brides to be working). You've got lots of time to shop! Good luck!

Azazie. But honestly, I would make time to go to a store. Wedding dress shopping should really be done in person. Most bridal boutiques are open on weekends and after 5:00.

I loved BHLDN. You could order the dresses and try them on at home and return what you didn’t like. And they have beautiful dresses.

I think you should only buy the dress online if you have had at least an experience of in store shopping and trying all different styles to see what you like or don’t. That’s just my opinion. Not all dress look the same on everyone and seeing it online is different than in person so I’ll be careful with that. With that being said you can always find time on the weekend to go dress shopping as stores are always open.

Although shopping online is great, I definitely think you should go to a bridal shop and look for your wedding dress in person. I completely understand the struggle of working full time and trying to find time to get everything done. I made appointments for wedding dress shopping on Saturdays.

I got my wedding dress off Facebook Marketplace! I went into 2 stores beforehand knowing what I wanted, but I found my dress on Marketplace a lot cheaper than in store. It was brand new without any alterations. You can also find other dresses from brides on Poshmark, preownedweddingdresses.com, Still White, and Tradesy. A lot of stores have weekend hours, and you probably want to go in store to find the style you like (many brides end up loving something totally different than they thought they would).

LZ bridal has either physical store or online. The prices there are really cheap. I got mine from this boutique. You can check it out!
