Wedding Dress Shopping Tips

I would suggest only taking a few people who are very close to you. Too many opinions can be overwhelming.

Try on as many shapes, sizes, fabrics, necklines, etc. as you can and take lots of pictures so you can reflect later. Bring a water bottle, it's super tiring! And eat before you go.

Agree with PP. Take people with you that know your style and what you like/want, and also who won't judge you for what you choose to try one. Limiting your group to a smaller number makes it less stressful, and much more enjoyable.

And try on a few things that are outside of your "ideal", dresses that are not what you imagined or thought you wanted. I tried on a dress that my sister and mom weren't fond of on the hanger, but we all fell in love once I tried it on. Not something we would have chosen right away, but trying it on made all the difference.

I only went with my mom because that made me less stressed. I already have the dress picked out, but I’m taking my bridesmaids to see it and that will be when I actually ask them to be in the wedding try on as many dresses you want! Do not let anyone push you though.

I hate shopping. I hate trying clothes on and looking in the mirror. BUT I went to go try dresses on and it is just a different feeling. It is so so much fun! Make sure you try on all styles! You’ll be surprised of what may have been your vision and what you actually fall in love with. And seriously have fun with it! Maybe have some of the people your bringing all choose a dress for you to try on. Find the ugliest one in the store, that’s what I did and it just made it that much more fun.
