Wedding dress sash question

I'm pretty sure I'm leaning towards wearing a satin and beaded sash with my dress. For those of you who wore one did you tie it in the back or sew it to your dress? If you tied it did it stay tight? I like the sash when it's tight and really accentuates the waistline. But I don't want to ruin the dress with sewing it on. Maybe add hooks or clear snaps? Pics would be great too!

I tied mine ! It stayed on well. It was tied pretty tight.

My sister had a narrow satin beaded belt that had just a hook and eye and it stayed on fine all night.

Maybe tie it? I had a two-piece dress and the sash had snaps but I sooooo wish I had it sewn into the skirt! It kept riding in photos and ruined pics. 😭One of my few regrets.

I didn't but my cousin did. She was also worried about sewing it on so I pinned it on from the inside. It stayed in place the entire day.
