Wedding Dress Salon Shopping or Online Steals?

Izzykern, on August 13, 2019 at 10:35 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Hi ladies! I am going to go to a bridal shop to try on dresses and see what I like the best on my figure, but I they are so expensive and it is so hard for me to put down $1000 on a dress I will only wear for one day. Has anyone used or seen stillwhite.com? They have used designer dresses for sale for so much cheaper. I am torn! Suggestions...?

Didn't get my dress from there, but I've heard nothing but great things about StillWhite!

I've never heard of that site. I went to David's Bridal because I can't see spending a ton on a one-time wear dress either. I only tried on two, and I knew the second I put on the second dress it was the right one for me. Both were 299

What about checking out sample sales?

I'm not an online clothes shopper so it would be hard for me to buy something I've never tried on before. If you find a dress on the site, maybe you could find it somewhere local to try on.

Yes!! This would be my plan if I were to buy off still white. I have specific dresses that I want and am on the lookout for on the website (at reduced prices) but I would go into the store to try on samples!

Another option is renting. My friend rented her wedding dress from a rental shop for $150 or so. I mean you can technically buy a dress for that much aha but it's also a good idea because you don't have to deal with the storage of it after or have to spend so much on a dress.

Sample sales are great too. (And ask if they have discontinued dresses in the back!) I got my reception dress for less than $200 and it was originally about $650 I think.

Never heard of the site. I went to David's Bridal. Had a great experience and best part besides finding my dress, it was sale.

I was planning on getting my dress on Still White but ended up getting my dress from FB Marketplace! Check both of those sites, Poshmark, preownedweddingdresses.com, and Tradesy! I looked on all of these sites when I was trying to find a dress online similar to the one I loved in store. I ended up getting my dream dress significantly less than regular price, and it was brand new without any alterations!

Stillwhite looks amazing for finding a gorgeous dress and a great deal! Before I found my dress in a salon through a sample sale, I thought a good way to get a dress online would be to find a boutique that carries the gown you like online. Try it on in person, then you can more accurately find what size you would order the used dress in.
