Wedding dress regret

I know a lot of us have our dress hanging in the closet and have since looked up different ones or have seen and compared the ones we see on here and others to our own.
To help me get over it I’ve realized there’s a reason I bought this dress and loved it. ev. Even if it was the sample out the store it’s still mine and I’m making sure it’s mine. I’m adding buttons from my moms dress to the back and just took the train off the bottom of her dress. (At least the lace) not sure what to do with it yet. But if I added it to the bottom of my dress then its no longer a dress anyone else has. It’s mine and it’s special.

Just remember. Your partner will love you in whatever you wear.

sometimes i also feel like it's dress envy or dress doubt. because i'll look at other gowns and think man THOSE are so pretty too but then i'd go back to mine and be like ya i still love it lol.
so sometimes i don't think it's regret but more like there's just so many other options out there that it makes it hard to feel like your decision was 100% right

I bought my dress a year ago for our 2023 wedding. 🤣🤣 I just LOVED it, and knew it was "mine". I LIVE in sundresses here in Florida, and when I saw this gorgeous blinged out sundress style wedding dress (tea length) I heard it calling my name. Yeah, I look at other dresses all the time ... and sigh over a lot of them. BUT, bottom line is I know that no other dress was made for the lifestyle I lead, and anything else would just make me feel not true to who I am.

I think Dress Regret is real I think and happens when we rush into the process to soon. During those times we choose a dress that others like for us but that we don’t really love. And then we end up saying yes to something that really wasn’t for us. Throughout this year I bought three wedding dresses that are sitting here in my closet, before I finally settled on the two that I love and I haven’t looked back.

I made it a point to stop looking at dresses once I purchased mine so that I wouldn't get dress regret. My dress finally came in (after 10 months) and I went to try it on, and I still loved it as much as when I said yes so I definitely don't have any dress regret.
