Wedding dress questions

I absolutely love this wedding dress and I’m going in later today to get my measurements and officially order the dress. My mom and I were talking and we aren’t sure about undergarments especially in the top because a bra would obviously ruin the back. Should I request something from the seamstress? What did everyone else do for their big day?

I didn't wear a bra. I have smaller boobs anyhow, but my dress had more than enough support that I didn't need to worry about it. You could always go with the petals or a sticky bra that way it doesn't ruin the back.

I’m using a low back strapless boustierre. Though you can always request that the seamstress sew cups into the dress.

I’m getting cups sewn in my dress so I don’t have to wear a bra! I’m a 32DD so I wanted good support & the C cups my seamstress has supported them really well when I tried them on at my first alterations appointment. I, also, wear sticky bras in everyday life when I have a backless shirt/dress. They work fairly well, but I would recommend getting cups sewn in instead!

My back is totally see through. I am having cups sewn in and using a nubra (silicone) for a little pushup and cleavage. I refuse to wear any of these medieval torture device looking undergarments.

My dress came with cups but I would have some sewn in if you need more support, coverage, or just “more.” That way you won’t risk a bra showing in any pics.

I'm getting cups sewn into my dress so I don't have a wear a bra. The back of my dress is similar to yours and I'm a little bigger in the chest so there's no way I could go braless!

The seamstress can/will sew in cups. She can take out any existing cups and switch them out for a cup that is your size, or even a push up cup if that's what you would like. Smiley smile

My dress also has cups sewn in but I am considering sticky bra to lift my DDs a bit more.

My dress is pretty ok as-is, but if you want more support, I'd have cups sewn in. Then just make sure the dress fits well, and you'll be good to go!

These cups work great for dresses with backs! This is what I will be using on my wedding day, or even get cups sewn into my dress. Also, this undergarment will be perfect for your dress, there are also non-thong ones.

Have the seamstress sew in cups. If you're not large in bust then the added cups really handle everything.

That dress is beautiful. I would have cups sewn in the top. My advice though make sure you will be able to sit and move. Those are important. Good luck. It is very lovely

I didn't wear a bra. There's really no need unless you have a large bust.

I had cups seen in mint and bought some sticky lift cups from amazon. They worked great.

Sewn in cups would certainly work. But if you're leaning towards shapewear, lots of brands have low cut options to accommodate open backs.

I also had cups sewn in during alterations and loved the convenience of it.
