Wedding dress question

I think purchasing it around a year or so in advance is a good timeframe! That way, it's close enough to your wedding where you don't have too much extra time to change your mind, yet far enough from your wedding to allow for shipping, alterations, plus extra time in case of delays. If ordering a new dress, I'd recommend purchasing the dress by around 9 months in advance at the latest. Now is a good time to search online for different styles and such that you might be interested in.

Others gave you a good time frame for purchasing. Don’t forget, mayerials are taking a bit longer to produce/ship/distribute lately so I’d take that into account. Also, alterations can take anywhere from 1-4 months depending on complexity, tailor’s scheduling… start early rather than rush at the last minute

3 to 4 mos because I will say earlier the better better if your getting online. It may take some time coming thru customs but at a shop they will say it may take 6 to 8 weeks. And also some dresses that you may want to try on my be discontinued like my wedding dress was luckily I was able to get the dress I want before it was gone. Happy planning

Please do not follow the advice of 3 to 4 months. That is way too late to order a gown from a bridal salon. Gowns are taking 6 - 8 months to ship. Plan on 2 - 3 months for alterations. I opened a bridal salon this year and it is taking the 6 - 8 months. Bridal shops do not tell brides 6 - 8 weeks - there is no way that will happen.
