Wedding dress question

Sarah, on January 22, 2020 at 10:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15
So my mom keeps trying to get me to look at different wedding dresses. My mom wants me to get a dress with sleeves. She said since my wedding will be in November having a wedding dress with sleeves on it will be a seasonably acceptable wedding dress. That is the type of wedding dress that is in style for late fall/early winter. What is everyone’s opinions?

You can literally wear whatever kind of dress you want. It shouldn't matter if you have sleeves or not as long as you're happy. That's what should really matter.

Wear what you want. I'm getting married in February and my dress doesn't have sleeves. Look up almost any designer's fall/winter collection for your mom. There won't be a lot with sleeves.

You can wear whatever kind of dress you want! It’s your wedding, not your moms. Wear what you feel beautiful in!

I had strapless in October in Massachusetts. And by the time I had the longline bra, the spanks, and the crinoline under it, plus the layers of the dress itself, I wasn't cold. So if you like sleeves as a fashion choice that's fine. But they aren't necessary.

I love sleeves for colder months but youre the bride and if thats not what you want then its okay to defy other peoples standards. yes, your mother's opinion is important BUT it shouldnt be a deciding factor for you. you need to feel beautiful, comfortable, and happy in your decision so whatever it takes to accomplish that, do it! theres no right or wrong way to do things because its ultimately your decision. you can wear whatever youd like at any time of the year. good luck girl!

Tell her you're wearing a dramatic faux fur Cape. Honestly, you can wear whatever you want. No one is going to judge you for not wearing sleeves.

My wedding was in November and I had cap sleeves. My Mom hated my dress altogether but it didn't keep me from buying it. In the end you have to remember you are probably paying a lot of money on a photographer and your wedding photos will be placed in your house for you to walk by every day so you need to get a dress that YOU love regardless what others opinions may be. You definitely don't want to look back at your special day and regret getting a dress you didn't absolutely love just to please someone else. *My photos are always distorted on WW for some reason so ignore that* Wedding dress question 1

I am getting married September 25 (outdoors) and I got a strapless dress, figured if I got chilly I could throw something over my shoulders. Defiantly do what you want girly, it’s your special day!!!
