No you do not. It is her day, her dress, and her breasts, she will wear the dress she wants and you will have to respect that.

Also removable straps are purely ornamental and will do nothing for support, you'd risk them falling off. It's better to get the seamstress to sew in a good bra.

Is she happy with the way she looks in it as is? Because that’s all that matters. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I'm a busty girl. My dress was strapless. No wardrobe malfunctions. If she's happy with her dress then you should be too.

Dresses are extremely well made now with LOTS of support for busty girls. It may just be the most supportive garment she's ever worn! Don't say a word to her. It's her dress.

Forget straps - they really won't do much, especially if they are removable. That's pure decoration - a cost totally not needed. What's more important is getting the alterations done properly. A dress properly fitted and with the right cups sewn in will do MUCH MORE for her.

Let her wear the strapless dress.

So... she got a strapless dress without straps? And she likes it that way right?

You don't need to convince her. Her day, her way no matter what you think. Sorry, mom.

Yeah, it's not for you to decide that she needs straps. As her mother, you should not make her feel self-conscious about her body or second guess her decision to buy her dress. If she feels beautiful, then you reassure her that she IS beautiful. That is the best thing you can do as her mother.

This exactly. As long as her seamstress makes sure there's enough support, either already there, or sewn in, there's nothing to worry about.

I'm speaking as a mom of two married daughters. Mom, you may not like or approve, so be it. This is your daughters day! It's her choice!! You should have NO SAY!
This is the start of truly realizing she is a grown woman. DO NOT GIVE ADVISE WHEN NOT ASKED FOR! Don't take any of the joy away from her by making her self conscious!!!

I am a very busty girl (G cup), and my dress is strapless. I have never felt more supported in a garment, including bras, in my life. As long as the dress is fitted correctly, she will be golden.

Basically the only answer and take away here, mother of the bride. Not your body, not your wedding.

You don’t need to be trying to convince her of anything. Don’t forget whose wedding this is. Hers. Not yours. If your opinion was not asked for, you shouldn’t be offering it. And if my own mother did something like you’re trying to do to your daughter, she would no longer have a place at my wedding.
