cut it off short or dye it so you can wear it as a cocktail dress.

make a clutch or a pillow out of it

use it to make a christening gown if a. you're having children and b. christening them

keep some of the beading or other elements to offer a son or daughter for use in their own wedding (ie, ribbon to wrap a bouquet or in his boutonnière, pearls or buttons to use as cufflinks)

put it in a shadow box for display in your home

I love putting on my dress as its probably the fanciest dress I'll ever own, so it will probably stay in my closet for a few years so I can put it on every now and then haha. Not sure what I will feel like doing after that..

Rosie have great suggestions. You could also do an”trash the dress” photo shoot. Those always look fun.

View Quoted Comment I agree with all of these suggestions! The only other ideas I have to add are: 1. saving it and trying it on again on anniversaries, or 2. throw a party in the future where you and your friends all wear your wedding dresses for the evening.

Hi ! I sold my dress soon after the wedding. I was happy to help a bride who couldn't afford a new one !

I put my dress in a tote box--I love my dress, but I'm not too overly concerned with preserving it.
