Wedding Dress Pockets

I had them added into my first wedding dress and they were wonderful. You couldn't tell they were there but they held my phone, tissue and lipstick. I used a private seamstress for all alteration. I would like to have them added into this dress but am planning on a softer chiffon or tulle fabric, so it might not be possible.

I asked my seamstress because I was ready to pay any amount of money for this... She said no, with no explanation. I think it probably depends a lot on your seamstress, the fabric of your dress, and cut of the skirt, etc.

My dress came with pockets! It was one of my selling points. But, my FMIL is adding pockets to her dress by having the extra length converted into a pocket. I don't see why it would be an issue, unless you had tons of beading and appliqués that cannot be covered.

Omg I'm totally going to ask for pockets.
