Hiii everyone! We recently decided to elope in August in the OBX.. we are driving from Pittsburgh and taking the trip in 2 separate days. We are going down in my finances truck that has a covered bed. So what I'm wondering is to prevent as much wrinkles as possible. Would it be a good idea to put the dress back in the garment back post pressing and lay in on top of all the luggage in the bed? It is a water tight cover but I'm more worried about the heat? Any have any tips ? The dress in a lot of sheer fabric and tule and beading. If that helps at all?

To help keep your dress clean, I would definitely put it back in the garment bag for traveling. It's what I had to do with mine when I bought my dress (originally bought it in another state). I would say, if it is more of a ball gown styled dress, that you should probably consult the place you bought the dress from on how to travel with it.

Hi Ashley! Definitely keep the dress in the garment bag, and if there's heavy beading you'll probably need to lay it flat. As long as it doesn't get wet it should be fine!!
I'd also think about investing in a travel steamer so you can freshen it up once you reach the Outer Banks!
