Hello!
I recently tried on a wedding dress that I really liked however the bridal store didn’t have the color I wanted it in. I went to a different store and tried the same dress on in the color I wanted (same size too), however it looks weird in the hips. It seems the lace part bunches up. It did not do this when I tried the dress on the first time so I’m a little confused. Does this mean it is too big or too small in that area? This would be the exact dress I would buy so I’m just worried that alterations wouldn’t be able to fix this. Any opinions on this? Wedding dress looks weird in the hips 1

If the other sample of that dress didn't do that, it may be somerhing wrong with that particular dress. Sample gowns can get pretty beat up, so the lace may have been stretched out or something. Would you be buying that exact sample off the rack or be ordering that dress new?

The store is getting ride of this collection and I would be able to get the dress for 30% off if I went with this exact dress. The dress isn’t terribly expensive so it wouldn’t be a big deal to order the dress instead of buying it off the rack. The consultant claims the dress was only on the rack for two weeks and was barely tried on but who knows if that’s true or not.

The dress is stunning! 😍 It looks like maybe it’s big in the hips and that’s why it’s gathering the way it is, because there’s extra fabric. I would say talk to a seamstress asap to see what they think and to get the expert’s opinion! It doesn’t look like it should be an issue though!

It looks like maybe someone grabbed the dress & pulled it off from that place on the hips and stretched out the lace there (especially if the exact same dress in the same size at another store didn’t do that). If that’s the case, I don’t know if it could be fixed. I’d show these pictures to a reputable seamstress and see what they say.
