Hello! I am having a wedding on the Carnival Vista in February of 2020. Technically, this is a winter wedding, but I am getting married on a cruise ship so I am a little confused on the dress....
When I started looking for dresses I wanted a short dress with a sheer overskirt, which I had trouble finding. So I moved on, and began hunting for a dress that I could personalize and make into what I wanted.
Side note: it's much prettier in person....
My dilemma:
Should I:
A.) Keep the dress long, and take it in more at the knee so that it is more fitted. ( I am curvy and I am short) OR
B.) Cut the lining on the inside to make it into a shorter dress and keep the sheer top layer long? ( I am busty and this is a halter gown) and I feel that the detail and sequins gets lost on photos and that this would help.
Personally, I think it would look good either way. I have some concern because technically I am getting married in the winter, but it's on a cruise ship...
This is not the dress, but the concept for (A) and yes, I am planning on adding a separate over skirt for more layers.

OR
This is the concept for (B) Shorter liner, longer top layer

With overskirt: (This could also work as a visual for (A) the overskirt is a visual for both (A and B)

I look forward to hearing some feedback! Thank you!
