Wedding dress in nyc on a budget

I live in New York and it will be hard to find something for that price. New York does not have cheap things, but you may be lucky. Usually anything that will be sample or off the rack will have limited sizing and then your alterations budget might go up.

I am not trying to get you down, but I do not want you to be bummed or shocked at the sticker prices. I got my dress from BHLDN and while it was more than your budget, it was on the cheaper end. Another option you can explore is buying off of Etsy or finding websites with pre-worn wedding dresses.

I agree with the above, NYC is not really the place to find cheap dresses. I did get my dress for less than your budget, but it was an off-the-rack sample sale, and my alterations budget is more than 3x the price I paid for the dress.

Your best bet is likely online.

I know that when you are looking for wedding gowns on a budget, David’s Bridal has a ‘Under $99’ filter on the website. I would imagine that in store, they will have options to fit your budget.

As the PP’s have already mentioned, when you are buying off the rack, you can get a great price but your alterations cost will go up as you will need more work done.

Same! We live in Brooklyn and I didn't even bother going to any stores. I purchased a dress (online) via BHLDN and it was $800 plus $150 alterations.
