Wedding Dress in 1 Year Anniversary Pictures?

We had planned for a big wedding and then decided to elope. However, between making the decision I bought a beautiful ballgown. Since we eloped in HI, I didn't want to wear it. Now I have my dream dress that I never got to wear. DH and I decided to take pictures every year for our anniversary and I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on wearing my wedding dress that I initially bought in our one year anniversary pictures...The more I think about it the more it sounds so silly but it makes me kinda sad to know I'll never really get to wear the dress that I fell in love with. I know I have a while to make this decision but I'm curious to see what others think.

I say go for it! I loved wearing my dress and couldn't imagine having a dress I loved but never got to wear.

I am actually considering doing pics in my wedding dress for our 1 yr anniversary. I was not paying attention on the day of our wedding, and our photographers did not take many portraits of me. There are two pictures that are my "bridal portraits" but the angle is weird, and they are actually the worst pics of me on the day. I certainly don't want to frame them or show them to people. I also have a friend who did this for her 10 year anniversary. She wore her wedding dress, and he wore his suit. They were really adorable.

Thank you all for your input! Makes me feel better knowing that it's not so silly.
@tar I totally understand! Although we eloped I was so caught up in the moment & I love our pictures but there aren't any of our actual faces which I would have liked. I'm trying to decide whether to do it on our anniversary or about 3-4 weeks before so we can have it on our anniversary.

I think it’s a great idea. Who cares?! Enjoy your dress. I plan on wearing mine on our anniversary and may put it on again to take pictures because I hate our wedding photos.

I plan on taking pics in my dress at some point. We ended up going to the courthouse and I thought I would look ridiculous wearing a wedding gown walking around downtown so I opted for a sundress. That's my only regret from how we chose to get married.
