Wedding Dress Doubts

Lilly, on April 14, 2020 at 11:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10
I am doubting if my dress is really “the dress”. This would be my second time doubting a wedding dress I bought. I am worried it is not right for the venue or the fall season. I bought it in January and the wedding is in November and now with the coronavirus i am afraid i won’t be able to sell it or look for other options. Any tips or reassurance for the dress?Wedding Dress Doubts 1

I bought my dress in January and I also have some doubts. It wasn't the dress I thought I was going to love, truthfully I hate the dress in pictures online. Apparently it's also a fairly popular dress and since I purchased it I've seen it on a few brides online... which is what really makes me question it.

The only time I ever liked the dress was on me, I did try it on multiple times over a couple of weeks so I just keep reminding myself that I did love it on me and that's all that matters. I don't have to like it on any other bride.

For your situation I would say the 'good news' is that, if you do want to sell it to another bride, there will be a lot who are buying off the rack and in the market for dresses that they can buy quickly instead of order. I know virtual dress try ons are a thing, but I can't imagine ordering such a big purchase without actually putting it on. However, you'd probably need to order another dress now without getting to try more on (if you had another favorite from when you went shopping) or be willing to buy off the rack when this is all over.

Is that a Hayley Paige? It’s gorgeous! However it is totally up to you and how you feel in the dress. You want to feel beautiful and confident, so if you are not feeling that way then maybe it is not the one? But finances do play a part and I’m sure you could sell it if you wanted but it’s very beautiful on you!

What is it about the dress in particular that’s making you doubtful?

Honestly the dress is not about the venue or the season. It’s about how you feel in it. If you love how the dress looks on you and makes you feel, all the other stuff doesn’t matter.

Omg I love it! All the layers and the stripes! 😍
I admit I am a sucker for stripes. But it’s totally up to you and how you feel. I went through dress regrets twice. I cancelled the first dress order and I am trying to sell the 2nd dress at the moment as a result of my indecisiveness.
Either way your dress is fabulous!

I tried on a very similar dress and loved it; it just wasn't flattering on me and I wished so much that it was. You look fantastic! The stripes are beautiful and so unique. Don't let the season/venue deter you from the dress if you really love it deep down. The best dress is the one that complements YOU, not anything else! See if you can tap into the feelings you felt the day you picked it.
