wedding dress cover up (bib?)

Susan, on March 28, 2017 at 7:43 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Hello! Has anybody ever seen/used what I guess would be sort of a bib for when bride is eating but doesnt want to get her dress messed up? I recently went to a wedding where the bride/groom were seated at a very low table. Bride was very busty and bless her heart she was using about 10 napkins to try to cover her dress and chest. Lightbulb moment! She needs a cover up like when bride puts on make up, etc. Would you just use that? Thoughts?

I mean, I purposely avoided adding anything with red sauce just for this reason, and I won't be drinking any red wine or cranberry juice that night. I know things happen, but I'm an adult and I can eat food without spilling it lol

I used my napkin. Thankfully no stains but a bib would have been nice.

Personally I would never want that bc I would feel like a slob with a bib on in front of a room full of people !! If it's a huge concern I would purchase a shall pashmina jacket something and wear it during eating use napkin on lap and there u go worst case the outer clothing gets damaged

One of my friends wore a black apron with her name embroidered on it. I thought it was a cute idea and certainly looked a little nicer than a bib or napkins.

The banquet hall I work at actually will take a full clean table cloth and cover the brides dress when she's in the bridal suite as they provide food for the bridal party and parents.

I spill stuff on myself while eating all the time. FH always jokes about getting me a bib. But when we talked about spilling on my dress he suggested (jokingly) that I need an apron to cover it when we eat.

Obviously not going to do it. But I CAN say it is a somewhat legitimate concern.
