Wedding dress confusion

Chloe, on October 6, 2021 at 12:45 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
I've found this wedding dress online and I just can't forget it... Problem is, I've already bought a dress and now I don't know what to do. I guess that's why they tell you to stop looking after commiting... I can't return the dress I've already bought because it's a custom order. It's very different from this dress: A-line champagne satin skirt and a beaded lace top and I still like the idea of it but somehow I just can't forget this dress. Thoughts, advice and common sense are very much needed right now!Wedding dress confusion 1

If it's in the budget you could get this one as a reception dress! It looks very flowy and comfortable so it would be easy to dance in. If you really can't take your mind off of it and have the budget for it then I'd say buy it.

I was going to suggest the same thing! It’s a beautiful dress, and would be perfect for a reception

The sleeves are beautiful but incredibly inconvenient. They’ll get in your food, hopefully not candles, everything! They also roll up a lot if your arms are not down so you may not be happy with the sleeves when dancing or eating. Pretty tho!

I agree with this. I also think that whilst they've managed to capture the motion of the sleeves fairly well in those photos, in real life, they wouldn't really look like that.

The only way I can think to describe it, is that it reminds me of when they used to have ads for barbie on tv and they made her look like she was moving and dynamic and when you brought her home she just seemed... flat, because you had to move her yourself, haha!

I think most of the time unless you're flapping your arms those sleeves aren't going to look as interesting.

I’m gonna have to say “ditto” on the previous 2 posters. And I actually have a pleated accordion-like skirt and a dress that’s styled similarly to this one, but it’s not pleated sleeves. I couldn’t imagine running around, eating, and enjoying myself at a wedding reception with sleeves like those. While it’s appealing to the eye and great for a photo shoot, you can live without them for actual events!
