Wedding Dress Cleaning and Preserve

Christian, on November 14, 2021 at 8:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
How do you decide on where to get your wedding dress cleaned and preserved? Is there something specifically I need to be looking for on the place and how they do it (other than how much it costs)?

If you are from NC and have suggestions on a place I’d appreciate it!

Local dry cleaners on every corner offer cleaning and preservation services much cheaper than online or at a bridal shop.

I was going to get the preservation kit from David’s Bridal but the services didn’t get good reviews and it seems they ruined quite a few dresses and veils. I took my first dress back to the dry cleaners that pressed it. They wrapped it up and boxed it. So I’ll probably do the same thing again.

I worked in bridal for three years and got my own gown cleaned by The Wedding Gown Preservation Company (gownpreservation.com). They’ve been in the business for over 100 years, they clean and preserve wedding gowns exclusively, and they do phenomenal work. The gowns come back absolutely pristine. I highly recommend them!
